Marine Update Thursday, March 8, 2007 Cpl. David Emery has developed new serious and life-threatening complications. "D.J." is in intensive care at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. He is suffering from severe wounds after a suicide bomb attack in Anbar province in Iraq on February 7, 2007. Both of his legs were shattered, including an arm by the suicide blast which killed another Marine. He is still on a ventilator and is undergoing dialysis due to injury of his kidneys that are not functioning on their own. Emery was taken in for emergency surgery again on March 5th. While he has been making improvements each day, David Emery is still not out of the woods at this time. |
